Richardson Park Dr. L. William Ferris, urology chief, dead at 51 Dr. L. William Ferris, 51, chief of the Wilmington Medical Center's department of urology, died Sunday in the Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor, Maine.

He was stricken by a cerebral hemorrhage three weeks ago while vacationing in Blue Hill, Maine. Dr. Ferris, of 7 Carriage Road, Greenville, also had a private practice at 1207 N. Scott St. A graduate of the University of Virginia and Tufts University Medical School, he came to Wilmington as an intern at the Delaware Division in 1957 in the area since year in military service.

A member of the Army Reserve, Dr. Ferris was called up in 1962 and served for a year at the 805th Station Hospital at Fort Chaffee, Ark. Crawford B. MacNamee Dr. Ferris and had practiced then except for a after a long illness.

He was employed as a PBX cable installer for the Bell Telephone Co. of Pennsylvania for 45 years, before retiring in 1969. He was a member of the Pioneer Club of the Bell Telephone the West End Boat Club and the Polish American Club of Chester. Mr. MacNamee is survived by two sisters, Mrs.

Willard K. Lord of Upland, and Mrs. David Eavenson of West Chester, Pa. Memorial services be tonight at 8:30 at the William S. Bleyler Funeral Home, 500 W.

An avid sailor, he was interested in ocean racing and participated in many races aboard his 41-foot sloop, "Vib." Greenstein, 80, fabric firm president, dies Hillard Greenstein, 80, former president of Everfast Fabrics Inc. and for 25 years a board member of Congregation Beth Emeth in Wilmington, died late Monday of heart disease in his home, 407 Milton Drive, Brandywine Hills.

Mr. Greenstein was born in Wilmington and graduated at 16 from Wilmington High School. In 1921, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Economics. Until his retirement 10 years ago, he worked for Everfast Fabrics, a New York City company with offices in Wilmington. He had been its treasurer and vice president, then was elected its president in 1969.

After retirement, he maintained an office on Bancroft Estate Road, Wilmington, and managed a number of business interests, including Mill Store a real estate holding company. Mr. Greenstein was a trustee of the Milton and Hattie Kutz Foundation and president of Beth Emeth Memorial Park for 25 years. He also served as president of Jewish Family Service of Delaware and for many years was active in Boy Scout Troop 45, Wilmington. He is survived by his wife, Eva two sons, Garry G.

of Wilmington and Arthur at home; a daughter, Janet Potter of West Grove, two brothers, David M. of Long Beach, and Louis of Wilmington; 10 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Services will be Wednesday afternoon at 1 at Congregation Beth Emeth, 300 Lea Wilmington. Greenstein, 64 Bancroft Estate Road, Wilmington. John A. Opalach John A. "Timmy" Opalach, 67, of 1206 Maple died of cancer Sunday in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Elsmere, where he had been a patient since July. Mr.

Opalach worked as a toggler for the Allied Kid Co. in Wilmington for 10 years, retiring in 1967. He then worked on the maintenance staff of St. Hedwig's Catholic church. Mr.

Opalach also played shortstop for the Federalsburg, farm team of the old Philadelphia A's in 1934, and was active in many of the local teams in later years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by a brother, Walter of Wilmington, and two sisters, Stephanie Lucey of New Castle and Stella Carpenter, with whom he lived. Mrs. Buker is survived by her husband, Harvey two sons, Harvey G. of Miami and Ronald V. of Kemblesville, two brothers, Raign of Bellefonte and William F. Raign of Boynton Beach, and a grandson.

Mrs. Rolph retired in 1976 as a museum aide at the Winterthur Museum, where she worked for 11 years. She also was a part-time museum aide at the Hagley Museum. Her husband, Elwood died in 1956. She is survived by four sons, Elwood Charles and Donald, all of Wilmington, and Louis of Christiana, two daughters, Clara Revis of Wilmington and Barbara Bunting of Dallas; stepmother, Nellie Culley of Wilmington; two sisters, Clara Gregg and Pearl Stephano, both of Wilmington; two half-sisters, Elizabeth Edwards and Phyllis Whiteley, both of Wilmington; 16 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Ernest E. Wright Ernest E. Wright, 74, of Fourth Street, Sharptown, died Monday of a heart attack at the Memphis, home of his son, Elmer where he was visiting. Mr. Wright retired in 1980 as a school custodian at Mardela (Md.) High School.

In addition to his son in Memphis, he is survived by his wife, Catherine Wright of Sharptown; three other sons, Max J. and M. Ray, both of Seaford, and William E. of Laurel; a brother, Bryan of Greenwood; nine grandchildren, and two greatgrandchildren. Turner 11, of 20 Matthews Road, Brookside Park, Newark, died Monday in the Delaware Division after he was stricken at home by complications of diabetes. Stephen was a sixth-grade student at Stubbs Elementary School in Wilmington. He played soccer for the Rowdies in the Brookside Community Athletic Association, and also played Little League baseball. About 250 people fled from the sprawling restaurant near the Delaware River when the smell of smoke began to drift into the firstand second-floor dining rooms, fire officials said. There were no injuries. The customers included several fire company officials and their families who were attending a convention of the International Association of Fire Chiefs here. The fire was contained in about 15 minutes, but some of the rare artifacts on display were damaged, as were the dining rooms. The cause of the fire was not immediately determined.

2 Kennett brothers injured in accident Two Kennett Square, men remain in serious condition today in the surgical intensive care unit at the Delaware Division after a twocar accident early Monday morning south of Wilmington. State police said Raymond Wilson, 21, received neck cuts and multiple facial injuries, and his brother Kenneth, 20, a passenger in his car received a broken leg and facial injuries, in the accident at Du Pont Highway and South Heald Street, just outside the city limits. The accident occurred about 5:30 a.m. when Wilson was attempting to turn onto the southbound lane of Du Pont Highway from Heald Street. His car and a car northbound on Du Pont Highway collided.
