Kodi is a tool that offers an infinite number of possibilities, as we have already reviewed here. It is a way to access a wide variety of multimedia content through an application that we can enhance through the use of complements also called Add-ons.
These are those small additions that we can install and that allow us to access different functions. Add-ons that can be used to use backup copies and also be used to watch HBO Max, Disney+, DAZN, Netflix, Pluto TV and even watch DTT or record programs. You can even use it to play games by installing an emulator or use it to access Plex. And now Let’s look at one that makes Kodi work better.

We have talked about Kodi actively and passively. We have seen how to control Kodi with the remote control, use it to watch streaming services, determine which screensaver to use, how to keep our multimedia library organized and now we are going to see how its operation can be improved.
Again And as on other occasions, the key to improving the performance of Kodi is in the use of add-ons. In this case one called EZ Maintenance Let’s see step by step how to install.
It is an add-on that improves the functioning of Kodi. It allows have the application automatically clear the cache every time we open it, but it also allows us to make backup copies of our modification or improve aspects such as the buffer.
How to set up EZ Maintenance
To install EZ Maintenance on Kodi we must access the “Settings”something that is possible if we click on the gear-shaped icon that appears in the upper left part of the screen.
Once inside the settings, you will see different sections and you have to click on the first one, the one with a folder that has the text “File Browser”.
Now it’s about adding the source from which you are going to download the EZ Maintenance add-on. To do this click on “Add source”.
Here you enter the web address and then click on “OK”
With the previously added address click on “Look for” and when you find it you give it a name. For the test I have left peno64 but anyone can help you identify it.
Go back and inside the “Settings” Now look at the second section, the one with the title “Add-ons” and click on it.
Of the four options that appear on the screen, now you have to click on the one with the text “Install from a .zip file.”
You will see how a small window opens with different options, among which you have to choose the one you added before. In this case it is the one I have called “peno64” or the name you would have given it.
When you click on it, you will see how a new window opens with the text “Install from a .zip repository” on top. You must select the file and click on “OKAY” to download and install the add-on.
Since you have it installed, now you must go back and click on “Install from repository”. There is little left until the end.
You will see on the new screen the list with those available and one of them is the one that interests us. Click on “peno64repository”.
Once inside, you will have to click on “Program add-ons” to continue with the installation and then “EZ Maintenance”.
The classic window to install plugins then opens and you just have to click on the button “Install” appears in the lower right area of the screen.
With the plugin already installed, you can now click on “Set up” to customize the operation of the plugin in question to your liking.
Here you can see aspects such as the plugin being activated automatically when you start Kodi. You can too set the cache to be cleared automaticallythe deadline to do it…
You can too create backup copies of the settings you have on Kodi to recover it in case of emergency or contribute it to other devices, on which you are using the same application.
