Summer Game Fest 2024 is right around the corner. It is scheduled to happen this week, and the annual event has quickly replaced the deceased E3 by stepping all over its corpse. Every year we get Geoff Keighley on stage revealing and showing off a large abundance of magnificent games. Before this year’s event begins, here you will find Summer Game Fest 2024 exciting leaks, rumors, and confirmed studios.

We were recently treated to a PlayStation State of Play to cap off May 2024. This event announced the release date for the Silent Hill 2 remake, and it also finally confirmed the rumors of God of War Ragnoark coming to PC. We also got a look at Sony’s new multiplayer game launching on PS5 and PC, Concord, as well as a new PSVR2 horror experience set in the universe of Ridley Scott’s Alien.

State of Play was a fun 30-minutes event, but Summer Game Fest 2024 will be so much bigger. There will be a lot more surprises and reveals, and there are a boatload of exciting rumors and leaks ahead of this weekend’s festivity.

Summer Game Fest 2024 leaks

Even though we just had a State of Play event, reports indicate that Sony will still be heavily present at Summer Game Fest 2024. One of the leaked games that didn’t make an appearance at State of Play is LEGO Horizon Adventures.

According to reliable leaker, Tom Henderson, from Insider Gaming, a reveal trailer for LEGO Horizon Adventures is apparently done and ready to showcase. It is a LEGO game fully set in the Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West universe starring Aloy, and it could make an appearance at Summer Game Fest seeing as it wasn’t at State of Play.

Black Myth Wukong is one of the most anticipated games of the year, and its appearance has basically been confirmed thanks to a quick snippet of gameplay included in the Summer Game Fest 2024 trailer. While its appearance is essentially guaranteed, a leak from Lunatic Ignus states that there will be a new trailer accompanied by a price with the beginning of pre-orders.

Lunatic Ignus also reports that The First Descendant looter-shooter will be at the event and announce a release date. Although not specifically mentioned for SGF, reliable leaker Billbil_kun, via dealabs, reports that the Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater remake is about to resurface with pre-orders and a release for 2025.

Away from the show hosted by Geoff Keighley, there will be an Xbox showcase during the weekend. This will take place on June 9th, and The Verge reports that there will be the announcement of a new Gears of War. In addition, The Verge says that there will be release date announcements for Avowed, Indiana Jones, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Rumors

Away from leaks, there are rumors of what could possibly be featured. Starting with 2K, it’s been confirmed by summergamefest on Twitter that 2K plans to “reveal the next iteration in one of 2K’s biggest and most beloved franchises”. Nothing has leaked, but this could possibly be Borderlands 4, confirmed to be in active development, or, hopefully, it could be the much-rumored Bioshock 4 instead.

Sticking with 2K, reports indicate that 2K are set to continue the FIFA legacy left behind by EA. It will apparently be fully licensed with 35 leagues and 800 teams, and maybe we could see an announcement made at SGF.

EA is confirmed for the event, so naturally fans are hoping that we will finally see Dragon Age 4. Called Dreadwolf, Dragon Age 4 has been anticipated for way too long. We’re hoping that it appears at SGF, especially after listings recently popped up on the PSN and Microsoft store. Might be too optimistic, but perhaps we will get a trailer with a release date and pre-orders.

Although not explicitly leaked for SGF, it’s possible we could see Valve’s new multiplayer shooter, Deadlock. Images of Deadlock have leaked online, revealing a new Overwatch hero-style shooter. It’s reportedly undergone a large playtest, so maybe it’ll make an appearance at Geoff Keighley’s event, especially after getting trademarked.

Kingdom Hearts fans have been speculating that Kingdom Hearts 4 will make an appearance. Sadly, Geoff Keighley has told fans they are setting themselves up for disappointment, so don’t expect to see Sora’s next adventure at the showcase, especially with Square Enix not listed as a partner.
