Aegon is technically still alive

But per the book, Aegon does survive the battle. He is badly burned and injured (his armor is quite literally melted into his body from the dragon fire) but he is alive. And shockingly, his dragon Sunfyre is also alive.

Daemon has suffered strange dreams about his deceased wife and his current niece-wife, Queen Rhaenyra (Milly Alco*ck, Emma D'Arcy), but in episode 5, he has a very uncomfortable dream about his mother, Alyssa Targaryen (Emeline Lambert).

Vaemond is in charge of the funeral speech, making pointed remarks about true Velaryon blood, and that it must not thin, causing Daemon to laugh incredulously at Vaemond's decision to attack Rhaenyra during the eulogy.

It's possible his dreams are a sign he's not sure who he really is and what he really wants. Daemon's own wife, the person he crowned and swore to take as his Queen, questioned all of his motives as a husband, brother, Targaryen, and man.

FYI, Otto's story comes to an end soon after the battle, when Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy) takes King's Landing and quickly beheads him for being a traitor.
