Factors that affect the speed of results include:

  • Drinking coffee, tea, wine, or soda

What Customers Are Saying

We’ve reviewed hundreds of GLO Teeth whitening reviews from different customers, and here’s what they’re saying:

  • Customers notice effective results after they use the teeth whitening kit
  • Many customers appreciate that the whitening device is easy to use
  • Although customers offer a noticeable difference from GLO, professional teeth whitening solutions are still better
  • Some users have problems with the device’s battery life
  • Certain customers find the whitening gel’s taste unpleasant

Our Feedback: Before You Buy

We tried out the GLO Brilliant Whitening Kit for six days. GLO recommends whitening your teeth for five to seven days straight (or up to 10 days). You only have to complete one treatment a day.

Here are things we’ve noticed:

  • It took three uses to see changes in tooth color
  • Our teeth were two to three shades lighter after the sixth treatment day
  • Results faded quickly (upkeep is essential)

After the first full treatment, you should use GLO whitening products once per month, performing three back-to-back applications in one day.

What we like:

  1. The GLO mouthpiece is comfortable, and the heat feature is a great addition. You can feel the gel warming up on your teeth, and it helps accelerate the whitening process.
  2. The product was packaged well, and the case is perfect for storage and travel. The directions are also easy to follow.
  3. The whitening gel doesn’t taste bad (like most whitening gels on the market). It also sticks to your teeth well while in use.
  4. The 8-minute timer and wireless lanyard are convenient. It is easy to know when your whitening session is done because it will blink a few times before turning off.
  5. The whitening gel did not make her teeth sensitive. However, this can vary from person to person.
  6. The product works with consistent use (make sure you read the directions). The whitening results were apparent after two to three uses.
  7. The GLO lip treatment helps keep your lips moist during the whitening process.

What we don’t like:

  1. The GLO vials can be difficult to apply to your teeth without missing your gums. Thankfully, the gel did not irritate her gums in the process.
  2. It’s difficult to use an entire GLO vial during one whitening session. They also expire quickly after being opened, so it’s easy to waste some of the gel.
  3. The whitening process is more time-consuming (and messier) than most. It includes four 8-minute applications. However, the comfort of the mouthpiece makes this process easier.
  4. Your lips might dry out if you don’t apply the lip treatment after each session.

GLO Brilliant Whitening Gels (GLO Vials)

The patented GLO Vials are used exclusively with GLO teeth whitening systems. The serum contains a glue-like formula that stays in place during whitening.

The unique precision brush targets each tooth individually. It also prevents the whitening gel from touching your gums. This helps minimize sensitivity and dryness.

How to Use the Kit

To use the kit, follow these steps:

  1. Apply a thin layer of the GLO Lip Care to your top and bottom lips. If you have extra sensitive teeth, apply it on the inside of your lips and gum area.
  2. Brush on the whitening gel via the GLO Vial technology. You only need to apply a small bead of gel (1/2 pea-size amount) onto the brush tip applicator.
  3. Brush a thin gel layer onto your top and bottom teeth (fronts only).
  4. Put the mouthpiece in and press the GLO button on the remote control. This makes the device light up blue, which means it’s working.
  5. Relax your jaw. You do not need to bite down hard or resist swallowing. The gel will stick to your teeth, so you will not swallow any of it.
  6. After eight minutes, the mouthpiece will blink and turn itself off.
  7. Remove the mouthpiece and reapply the whitening gel to your teeth. Then place the light back into your mouth for another eight minutes.
  8. Repeat this process every day for five days (or up to 10 days).
  9. After you’ve reached the desired whiteness, only monthly touch-ups are necessary.

  • Mild-tasting serum with a pleasant mint flavor
  • FDA-approved

  3. After applying the gel to your front teeth, plug the mouthpiece and place it in your mouth
  4. Reapply the lip treatment as needed throughout the process
  5. After the treatment time is complete (this varies between kits) rinse your mouth and the mouthpiece
  6. Avoid drinking anything for at least 30 minutes

How Long Does GLO Teeth Whitening Last?

You should use GLO once a month after your first full treatment (five to seven days in a row). You’ll want to perform three or four back-to-back applications to maintain results.

If your teeth discolor quickly, you can perform a full whitening treatment every 4 to 6 months (up to seven consecutive days of whitening).

GLO recommends limiting staining foods/beverages as much as possible to maintain results even longer. These include coffee, red wine, tea, curries, and soda.

7 Reasons Why You Should Choose GLO

We find that GLO stands out in the LED teeth whitening industry for a few reasons, including:

1. They Offer At-Home and Professional Teeth Whitening Kits

GLO offers both at-home and professional teeth whitening solutions. You can order a kit online and use it in the comfort of your own home. This whitening treatment doesn’t require a prescription or dentist appointment.

The company also sells GLO Science™ Professional teeth whitening kits to dental practices. These include in-office (chairside) kits, take-home kits, and more. This whitening treatment requires an appointment with a GLO dentist.

2. They Won Two Edison Awards

The GLO Brilliant Teeth Whitening Device has received two prestigious Edison Awards in the “Consumer Packaged Goods” category. They won the silver medal in 2012 and the gold medal in 2013.

The Edison Awards is an annual competition honoring excellence in new product development. The vision is guided by the legacy of Thomas Edison and his Menlo Park team, who brought remarkable innovations to the market.

3. They Have Patented Products

GLO uses patented G.L.O (Guided Light Optics) Technology. This means it’s a one-of-a-kind technology you can only find in their products. It’s used to warm the mouthpiece and whitening gel, speeding up bleaching and safely brightening your teeth.

4. They are FDA-Approved

Unlike many teeth whitening products on the market, GLO Science is FDA-approved. This means the agency has determined that the product’s “benefits outweigh the known risks for the intended use.”

5. The Serum Causes Zero Sensitivity

GLO doesn’t cause sensitivity in the majority of customers. Even if you experience sensitivity, it will likely be very mild and temporary.

GLO’s unique gel formula is carbamide peroxide and alcohol-free, two common causes of tooth sensitivity. The gel is also designed to stay on your teeth and off your gums and soft tissues. This reduces the risk of sensitivity even more.

6. The Kits are Easy-To-Use

The whitening gel is applied with easy-to-use GLO Vial technology. The whitening process does not require runny gels, trays, or strips.

The G-Vials have a precision brush that lets you easily target each tooth (even your back teeth). The brushes also make it easy to avoid your gums and soft tissues.

7. The Gel is Non-Toxic, Vegan, and Gluten-Free

GLO’s whitening gel is made with non-toxic ingredients to provide safe, effective, and cruelty-free whitening. A top aesthetic practicing dentist in New York formulated it.
